Blam!

ABOUT ME
Rainier "padam padam" Blam of Forest of Zork, a tangible boy with a sense of sheer bravado, a professional whistler, whose flair for venturing the deadliest lair of demons and monsters gained infamy all over underworld, who speaks no nonsense shit. a philosopher of his own philosophy, a Jedi whose sword is a pen, battling with t-squares and triangles, a self-confessed weirdo (you have a problem with that?) whose awesomeness has transcended  to it's ultimate limit, and of course, "he has Abs".

well, this is my first to write a blog, and i still dont think if i should write something like a topic about my course  or.....about me (which is darn tooo boring to tell), whaddaya think?  (naaaaahhh...) i think i should rather say something about my course... have anyone of you heard about the course ARCHITECTURE, well, for us we call it ARKI, other call it bullshit.. (just kidding)
the course is really deliberately supahh stressful. well, not because it requires a lot of brains to enroll in this institution but because its rather... uhhmmm.. you'll know what i mean if you're in our shoes..

indeed, school is like a war zone of all different sort of people, including environmental circumstances, time and personalities (in which i have no problems with, that's why we don't have personality development classes, besides, whats there to improve?)
so you must be prepared as to what will happen in the battlefield a.k.a. "THE CLASSROOM"
better be prepared for tools and equipments that's a must-have in ARKI.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU SHOULD CONSIDER HAVING TO SURVIVE IN VENTURING THE LIFE OF BEING AN ARCHITECTURE STUDENT.....

BAG- the basic thing; need i have to explain this? Duhh!!!.. well, if it helps, i would address that im not bringing a basket at school to carry mu stuff..
SIDE NOTE:  well, as to most parents, (common observation) they usually opt to buy sling bags because of what they call as "USOW NGAYOWN" thing, but as to my experience, it's very passe'

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PENCIL- another basic stuff you would not forget to bring to school... unless you plan to use chalk to write your plans?... haha.. there's a lot of brands in the market, but the most infamous kind is the------ guess what?. it's MONGOL... yes, back from elementary and still flourishes on college... this even topped the billed from the notorious human beings. everybody knows this. even a 7yr old kid would have know this better than our filipino heroes.. but dont let us be too absurd. our philippine heroes are awesome.
SIDE NOTE: these pencils has grades of shades. ranging from Mongol 1 to 3. but the best is Mongol 2.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

steadtler technical pen (very expensive but very durable; well, it depends also to who handles it, kung may pagkaburara naman, opt for-)
rotring tech pen..

Uni Pen

TECHNICAL PEN- this reliable thingee is a must in ARKI. not because it's darn too expensive to flaunt  it with your classmates. I don't do this actually (-it would cost you a freaken' shit of moolah to buy this), but you use this to draw plans for your plates. It's arbitrary though, cos' you can also use UNI PIN which is wee more cheaper than the aforementioned.
PS. If you're in ILOILO, never buy a Rotring Rapidograph. Cos' you wont find any cartridges for it anywhere here. I once had it bought and it sucked when it all got drained and couldn't find any replacements, and don't ask nat'l bookstore personnel for it, they don't know anything about it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
T-SQUARE- this tool is usually made to make horizontal lines and to guide triangles. but if in case of inevitable circumstances, you can also use this as a basic anti-sonofabitch bastards roaming around and outside the campus, just harness your inner jedi skills and brandishing this tool to those who walks ridiculously suspicious towards you and KAPLAK!!!!.... bludgeon this to their face. JUST KIDDING!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TRIANGLES- I usually see this being thrown like a shureken when i was in first year (whAT DO YOU EXPECT? ITS THE DAWN OF NARUTO FEVER BACK THEN DUDE!!). it was somehow fun, but dumb... but still fun. well, the supposedly purpose of the triangle is to be paired with T-SQUARE (like puto and dinuguan) to make diagonals and verticals.
SIDE NOTE: I actually has this used properly when i was already in 2nd year, cos our instructor haven't had the chance to see us struggling making our title blocks, in which i dont really give a damn.
: there are 2 types of drafting triangle, the 30X60 degrees triangle and the 45 degrees triangle. But the mostly used triangle is the 45degrees.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the basic tracing paper

parchment paper

TRACING PAPER- this paper is a prerequisite to the course. yes!!, every stues should know about this. why? cos, ya know, for plates of course. but, it's kinda' hard to work on this on my part, because one big error on this and BANG!!!.. it'll cost you your 25pesos rainier... but to those who are forever saving... ahem, well don't get hooked with those in grecels store whose just in front of the school. what the sell is as jimmy said, and I quote "dollar-like" merchandise. so, if you want to save, better opt for parchment paper, the one that you can buy in guisano guanco, just beside the University of Iloilo. it's wee more cheaper, or try buying in commoner merchandising in city proper, they sell half the price.
